Enn Tyugu graduated Tallinn Technical University in mechanical engineering and Leningrad Technical University 
in computer engineering, received Dr. Sci. degree in computer science (1974) from Leningrad Electrotechnical 
Institute, has served as professor of computer science at Tallinn Technical University (1978 - 1985), 
deputy director of the Soviet New Generation Computer Project START (1985 - 1989), head of the Division 
of Informatics and Engineeing of the Estonian Academy of Sciences (1985 - 1992), and profressor of software 
engineering at the Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden (1992 - 2000). He is a member of the Estonian Academy 
of Sciences and a professor of information technology at the Estonian Business School. His current research 
includes program synthesis, reflection in agents and high-level programmig tools.
